Dajae, Wookie & Matt Jam Lamont locked in for 51st State

Friday, 17 March 2017

Following two sold out runs since its debut in 2015, 51st State Festival is set to return to London’s Trent Park on 5th August for Garage, House, Soul and Disco lovers across the globe.

The year, Backto95 is set to return for third time round, with a line-up bigger and better than ever before. Heading up the Backto95 stage we have Chicago soul singer Dajae, whose powerful vocals shone through on several hit singles with top house producer Cajmere. Dajae will be joined by Garage pioneer Wookie, responsible for a string of genuine bone fide Garage classics, including "Battle", "Scrappy" and "Back Up Back Up".

If this wasn't enough, Matt Jam Lamont will be taking us for a spin, while DJ Luck & MC Neat, Artful Dodger, Elisabeth Troy, Shola Ama, Norris Da Boss Windross, Masterstepz, Jason Kaye, Ramsey & Fen, Listener & Jason H, Jerry Lifford, Creed, DT, CKP, PSG, Buzzhard, Rankin, Bizzi’s Party and Denise B will also be joining the ranks.

Elsewhere, new stage hosts FOUND will be bringing down the Chicago house with the legendary Derrick Carter, while Groove Odyssey host the legendary Masters At Work, Dimitri From Paris and Barbara Tucker. The electric line-up continues on the We Love Soul stage, where the long-reigning queen of disco, Evelyn “Champagne” King, will demonstrate why she deserves her crown.

The team have pooled all their experience over the past couple of years to fine-tune the production and ensure the smoothest running possible. This year will feature sharper sound systems, state of the art production and an improved VIP experience. Stage hosts include Backto95, Channel One Sound System, FOUND, Groove Odyssey and We Love Soul. With tickets already on fourth release, 2017 is set to lay its own milestone in the annals of dance music history.

1st, 2nd & 3rd tiers are already SOLD OUT, so don't snooze on this. Head over to Resident Advisor for tickets.
